Thank you!

Friends,

Over the last six months, we've started a conversation that I hope continues.  Mostly because on a personal level, the conversations I've had with people all over this country have been so rewarding.

Thank you for giving our campaign its bounce.  I am humbled and honoured, and have made so many new friends.  Your energy, ideas and openness are why I believe politics matters and should matter more.

I congratulate Thomas Mulcair on his victory today, and the other candidates with whom I was colleagues.  I look forward to working with Tom and them all in getting a New Democratic government that reflects the values of Canada's progressive majority.

I also congratulate and deeply thank our amazing team of volunteers and staff, right across this beautiful country.  Your work inspired me and I am very grateful.  Thank you.  The support from caucus colleagues over the campaign and today, along with Alexa McDonough's on the last ballot on which I could run, means a great deal.

Diana and I are very proud of the campaign you let us run.

Nathan
